Bayern Munich Coach Kompany Reportedly Hospitalised After Collapse

Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany has reportedly been taken to a hospital in Munich after collapsing during a training session on Friday.

According to reports, the incident occurred at the club’s training ground on Säbener Straße, with an ambulance conveying the 40-year-old Belgian to the hospital.

Kompany had reportedly been battling a viral infection in recent days, which forced him to miss Bayern Munich’s final training session and pre-match press conference ahead of their UEFA Champions League encounter against Arsenal on Wednesday.

The club had yet to issue an official statement on the reported incident as of the time of filing this report.

The former Manchester City captain joined Bayern Munich in 2024 after leaving English side Burnley.

Since his appointment, Kompany has guided the German giants to two Bundesliga titles.
