P-Square Songs Re-enter Apple Music Charts Amid Fresh Family Rift

The music catalogue of the defunct Nigerian music duo, P-Square, has recorded a significant rise on the Nigeria Apple Music Albums Chart amid renewed public attention on the Okoye brothers’ latest dispute.
According to music chart platform Album Talks HQ, the group’s compilation album, Best of P-Square, climbed 87 places to number 100 on the chart.
Two other albums by the duo, Get Squared and Game Over, also returned to the chart at numbers 173 and 182, respectively.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the renewed interest in P-Square’s music comes as Peter and Paul Okoye continue to attract public attention over their latest exchange of accusations.
The disagreement between the brothers has sparked reactions across social media, with fans revisiting the duo’s catalogue and some of their biggest hits.
P-Square rose to prominence in the early 2000s and became one of Africa’s most successful music groups, producing popular songs such as Bizzy Body, Do Me, Game Over and Alingo.
The brothers first split in 2017 following reported disagreements over finances, creative control and the involvement of their elder brother and manager, Jude Okoye.
They reunited in November 2021, reviving the P-Square brand and returning to the music scene as a duo.
However, the reunion was short-lived, as Peter and Paul separated again in 2024 and resumed their individual careers as Mr P and Rudeboy, respectively.
