Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has vowed to seek the intervention of United States President Donald Trump if anything goes wrong during the forthcoming Osun State governorship election.
Speaking during a live session with comedian Carter Efe, Davido stressed that the August 15 governorship election must be free, fair and credible.
“I will involve Trump if anything goes wrong in the Osun election,” Davido said.
The singer said he would not remain silent if the electoral process was compromised, adding that he would draw international attention to any alleged irregularities capable of undermining the credibility of the poll.
His comments come amid growing attention surrounding the Osun governorship election, with political stakeholders and citizens calling for peace, transparency and a credible democratic process.
