The Nigerian Army has commenced the application process for the Short Service Combatant Commission (SSCC) Course 50/2027 for eligible Nigerians.
The Army, in a statement on Tuesday, said the recruitment was open to qualified civilians and serving military personnel seeking commission into the service.
It said successful candidates would be commissioned into the Combat Arms and Combat Support Arms of the Nigerian Army.
According to the statement, the Combat Arms comprise the Infantry and Armour, while the Combat Support Arms include the Artillery, Engineers, Signals and Intelligence Corps.
The Army directed prospective applicants to apply through its official recruitment portal, nashortservice.army.mil.ng, and select the SSCC option before following the instructions provided.
It warned applicants against unauthorised recruitment portals and fake announcements, advising them to rely solely on official Nigerian Army channels for accurate information on the exercise.
The Army also encouraged prospective applicants to monitor television and radio stations for official recruitment jingles following the commencement of the exercise.
It said applications would close on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026.
For enquiries, applicants may contact 07016874003 or 07047340295 between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily.
The Army urged qualified Nigerians interested in serving the country to take advantage of the opportunity and complete their applications before the deadline.
