Charles Okocha defeats Portable in celebrity boxing showdown

Nollywood actor Charles Okocha defeated controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, in a celebrity boxing contest held at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos.

The highly publicised bout, organised by Balmoral Group Promotions, drew a large crowd of fans and celebrities after weeks of heated exchanges between the two entertainers on social media.

Charles was declared the winner at the end of the contest, bringing an end to the rivalry that had generated widespread attention ahead of the event.

Reacting after the fight in a video shared on social media, the actor celebrated the victory, expressing satisfaction with his performance and declaring that he had defeated his opponent.

Portable, however, rejected the result, insisting that he deserved to be declared the winner despite the official decision.

Videos circulating online showed the singer leaving the ring while repeatedly maintaining that he had won the contest.

The event also featured appearances by boxing personalities and commentators, including British broadcaster Ben Davis, alongside musical performances and other entertainment.

The contest was staged as part of the “Chaos in the Ring” celebrity boxing series, a sports-entertainment initiative designed to bring celebrities into the boxing arena and attract a broader audience.

The fight has continued to generate mixed reactions on social media, with many users commending the entertainment value of the event while debating the outcome.
